69 Richmond

69 Richmond, located near Richmond and Bay in the heart of downtown Toronto, is a distinguishing concept envisioned by Dream, one of Canada’s leading real estate companies. At it’s core, 69 Richmond consists of an alleyway that weaves between several downtown buildings. Prior to this project, the alley was a dark and damp service lane where garbage was piled and not much else. As part of this project, the alleyway was reimagined as a pedestrian space allowing the adjacent buildings to be repurposed with frontage on the alleyway, allowing new life and opportunity to spread into the space. Broccolini was contracted to bring this vision to life. This involved abatement and demolition of an existing building, burying site services and mechanical equipment under a structural slab, importing and installing high-end materials from Europe, adding entrances and windows on the adjacent buildings, overall landscaping services, and more.
